Summertime sizzlers such as Mike Modano (Dallas Stars center and seven-time NHL All-Star), Mark Cuban (Dallas Mavs owner), Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavs point guard and 10-time NBA All-Star), Bradie James (Dallas Cowboys linebacker and defensive captain), Mike Hamlin (Dallas Cowboys safety), DeMarcus Ware (Dallas Cowboys linebacker and four-time NFL Pro Bowler), Kidd Kraddick (radio host of nationally syndicated show Kidd Kraddick in the Morning), Daryl “Moose”Johnston (former Dallas Cowboys fullback), Bryan Greenberg (actor of HBO’s “How to Make It in America”), Drew Pearson (former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro wide receiver), Donald Faison (actor of TV series “Scrubs”), plus the game’s first female player, Nancy Lieberman (Basketball Hall of Famer, two-time Olympian, three-time All-American and head coach of Frisco’s NBA D-League team the Texas Legends) and other celebs and pro athletes will take the field donning authentic baseball uniforms for an unforgettable star-studded event. Please note: Roster subject to change.
Proceeds will benefit the children’s charities of The Heroes Foundation and The Mike Modano Foundation.
Two baseball teams, the Blue Socks and White Socks, each made up of 15+ celebrity players and 15+ amateurs, will play “hard-charging, umpires-umpping, trash-talking, uniform-wearing, base-stealing, home run-hitting, nine-inning, authentic BASEBALL!” The game will broadcast on 103.3 ESPN, with play-by-play by Ben and Skin.
Tickets are $5, $7, $12 and $15 and are on sale at Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com) or at the Dr Pepper Ballpark Box Office during office hours. Will call will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26. Tickets also will be available at the door the day of the game.
